9331 - Federico Degetau Federal Building - General Services Administration - San Juan, Puerto Rico

The purpose of this contract was to supply and install 1600 kW generator sets with accompanying paralleling switchgear & controls, in a new generator/control building.

This project included paralleling the generators with each other and with the utility company. Tie-ins to the existing SCADA system and upgrading the existing Honeywell EMS were also required. Our team was also responsible for upgrading the parking lots and providing/installing a new generator/control building and a storage system for 20,000 gallons of generator fuel.

National Electrical Systems, Inc. managed this contract from their headquarters in Upstate New York. Key management personnel conducted site visits before construction began and our Project Manager was on-site periodically throughout the construction.

Schedules and work plans were developed for National Electrical Systems, Inc. personnel and their sub-contractors. Utilizing local subcontractors reduced travel and housing costs, another key ingredient to project success.
